A Chinese migrant from Zhejiang Province, of unknown visa status passes his squalid living space which sits atop standing water on a poultry farm compound on the western outskirts of Parmaribo that raises ducks for local Chinese restaurants and markets. He and other workers are watched over by a Chinese female shopkeeper across the street from this farming compound who monitors all comings and goings. Malaria is present in Suriname and this farm is the perfect breeding ground for mosquitos.
